Auxiom hosted our second annual Auxiom Community Appreciation Event, and it was a morning packed with practical ideas, candid conversation, and a clear challenge for every leader in the room: AI - Why not you? Why not now?

Ashok Sivanand kicked off the morning by comparing today's AI moment to the arrival of the electric motor. The factories that thrived weren't the ones that simply swapped in new technology, but the ones that redesigned how work got done. Attendees rolled up their sleeves with golf pencils and worksheets to identify one workflow where value is leaking and one small experiment to try within 30 days. Nick DeMiro, President of Mayco International, shared how his team used the same approach to cut a three-week engineering process down to five minutes.
Our panel, "AI in Action: The Mindset Behind the Moves," moderated by Auxiom CEO Matt Loria, dug into what separates companies seeing real results from those stuck after a pilot. The takeaways: align leadership around real business priorities, capture what makes your business unique so AI has the right context, and keep people accountable for their work. As Everett put it, AI is magical, but it isn't magic.
Aaron Salko and Kelly Johnson of STRATUM 9 closed the morning with a powerful reminder: once everyone has the same AI, your competitive edge is your people. They showed how high performance is built from learnable skills and daily habits, leaving the room with a memorable line: technology creates capability, but human performance determines the outcome.
